Hello All,

Thought I would say hi and let you know why I have signed on.

Currently an XK8 owner  , and as an active member of our Forum I know how much help Owners Forums can be so thought I would have a look on here.

The Jag is in having a full respray at the moment and the company that is doing it have lent me their N-reg Range Rover 4.6 HSE...

... and thats the problem ... I am loving it! :D

Being 6'5" it is the first time I ever been truly comfortable in a car and I just love the view from up here! Living in the middle of Wiltshire with the rubbish roads and debris all over the place, the Rangy just wafts over it all... terrific. Just love the interior too.

So have started thinking about possibly getting one - esp as the current market seems to be a good time to get a big car. Would be looking to spend between £12-14k and get as high a spec current shape RR as I can. Prefer petrol as running costs not too important - I only do about 8k miles a year. So I guess its something like an 02/03 Vogue? Is that with the 4.4V8? ... and is that the BMW engine? When was my Jag engine fitted to RR or is that just the RR Sport? Sorry, bit of a petrolhead, but not really knowledgeble about RR's:confused:

What are the major things I need to watch out for? Have been reading about over-heating problems ... but is that for the shape I am driving now (P38 I think) with the old Rover V8's?

Don't get me wrong - I love the Jag and this is a complete departure for me, but I have had it for nearly 5 years and I think its time for a change.:D

Thanks in advance for any guidance,
