Morning all. Names Kev from South Wales.

Currently drive a ford transit, old skool smiley, but don't need her any more so looking to change to a Disco.

Probably going to be a few months before I get one, but with all my vehicles I like to learn about them, what can go wrong, what I need to look out for (as i do all my own mechanical work).

Will have plenty of questions im sure, with an aim to help others out in the future

Not sure yet, was going to be my next question.

It needs to be a diesel. Non TD5 i believe so I can continue running on WVO. I have a good supply of quality rapeseed oil and already have my settling and filtering process down to a T. The transit has done 40,000 miles now on WVO with very little diesel added.

Is there a Disco with a Bosch VE mechanical pump? Any models to get/avoid?

Why not try posting you question in the discovery or engine forums . I have never run on alternative fuels . So you should get far more help in them .
