This place is as good as I was told it would be!
Based in the NW, mostly around Bolton and The Lake District.
My partner has had the TD5 for about a year and as she rarely uses it, I'll be using it as my main vehicle. There has been a 12v system added (although there might be an electrical interference problem I'm told) , air suspension issues and what now looks to be a leaking fuel tank...
I have lots of questions as I'm not only new to TD5's, but I am just about to book an intensive driving course. The vehicle is largely for use on road, a little off road/green lane, and possibly some woodland work later in it's life. I'd like to make it semi-comfortable to sleep in occasionally and it will have to carry decent amounts of kit fairly often. It will be used a lot.
Is this the thread I can get some opinions on what work/additions might best suit?
I'm already learning that the air suspension is a whole book full of problems and I might look to get this replaced with springs asap, I'm looking at modular units for the boot space, a bit of off road protection & functionality as well as some tech additions and to get the vehicle all tuned and tightened.
I'll post elsewhere if this isn't appropriate, but what are other regular issues/upgrades/replacements?
