I cant help you on what to look for(these new uns are a bit to space age for me to understand
)apart from the obvious like checking everything works as it should. Especially all the electric gubbins
Id also recommend getting it inspected either via the AA/RAC or by an independent specialist.

The warranty is the main point to look for from the garage, preferably 12-months unlimited.
As far as servicing goes, if you have to ask you can't afford it! But seriously an independant should be able to service it for a more reasonable cost than an LR dealer. I want to say the 3.0 TD6 is chain driven like the 2.5.
