Hey

As I'm converting my RR to a commercial so as I can carry my bikes etc, I have to remove all traces of rear seat. And when I came to remove the anchors for the belts...!

I reckon it's time to weld in a new panel, how about you?

Lol! I've had the carpets up for some time, nothing major. the carpet stuck, so I clouted it with a hammer and the WHOLE panel just shattered lol.

I'll drop it into a friend's to get it welded up. What's the story with a car in the UK if I just have two seats but don't use it as a commie?

Do you mean with regards to MoT?

If so technically you need to have the seats as fitted, however, there is a small loop hole which states "If it's not fitted then it does'nt need to be MoT'd. The mounting points/ panel may need to be welded to pass.

Well...they'll be under a steel sheet (Irish commercial regulations) and the belt mounts...well they need to be removed altogether and re-welded over.
Getting it converted to LPG in Armagh. So, if it has no back seats, and the windows panelled out, what does that make it in the UK?

and another thing - how wide will I be able to go with 16x7 wheels? I want a set of 265s as I can get them very reasonably here. I'm wanting to sell the original ones. Also have 4 BMW 5 series alloys if anyone wants

Nice one. Oil stench is massively reduced, and the tapping went away! Whole vehicle is gutted, as I'm now on holiday. Trying to get the dash off now lol. What'd be gained from fitting a K&N to the V8? There's a hole developing in the rear silencer...oh how terrible!

time for a new, rumblier one! any suggestions?

Hi

I've got a K & N and don't really notice much improvement other than a better sounding engine and possibly a little better fuel economy (24mpg average from Norwich to Luton and Back)

I've possibly got what you need it's a Cherry Bomb exhaust (sounds like a monster) but I hate it.
