Hi
I don't own a rover right now, but I am a 4x4 nut and like the older rovers and the defenders. I am also into unimogs, iltis, and volvo c303s. I love old military vehicles especially jeeps. I own a 1971 Jeepster Commando in almost mint shape which is my namesake. I will not beable to contribute alot of info about rovers, but I am very informed ablout biofuels and diesel engines.

'ow do mate. Don't get many septics over this way - Jeepster is kind of like a 'fast back' willys jeep for the 60's and 70's isn't it?

I know I know..... But all the landrover forums on our side of the ocean suck. Besides, the best place to learn about an item is in its country of origin.

Here is a link to my jeep, not sure what a "fastback" is, but this one was made by AMC. Willys started it with the Jeepster, and then Kaiser added Commando to the Jeepster name. This one is the first year that AMC owned the jeep trademark and they stopped making the Jeepster in 1973. It has a buick 231 V6 pushing a turbo 400 auto trans. backed up to a dana 20 and 44s front and rear.

Rednecks always welcome (I think) I'm new here an at the moment they're
treating me with respect, wait till I tell them I'm a fan of GM's Quad 4
