Hello
Im new to the forum so would like to say hello to you all.
I have a 1997 300tdi Discovery with a few inherited issues.
1. steering box leaking fluid.
2. transfer box has a leak (gear oil) not sure where its coming from oil all over the transfer box.
3. right side swivel pin housing leaking, not too badly.
4. sump gasket leaking.
I have looked at some threads on here i understand I will need to replace the steering box. The transfer box worries me as I dont know if it can be repaired in situ or if it would need to be removed. How hard is it to replace the swivel pin housing seals?
I was thinking of upgrading my suspension for a 2 inch lift. Can I just replace the springs and shocks?
I will be attempting to do the work myself so anyone with experience who can pass any tips or info regarding the above would be appreciated.
