new lift pump won't fookin work

hello folks
just put a new lift pump on my disco 300tdi
can't get it to run smoothly now

not sure if i put the hoses on right way
could anyone Pleeeeeeeeas go out side an look where the pipe from the fuel filter goea to
eg top or bottom of lift pump
thanx folks

reason i ask this is the fuel filter keeps emptying of fuel

put pipes on wrong way like the siily cnut i am
ok ready for the onslauhgt

Him wots never made a mistake has never done owt. I put the fuel feed an return pipes on my Ezzie van back on the wrong way round, an had to go up hills in reverse for a month before I sussed it.

oh well it least i'm not the only one

only took me all afternoon to sus out why the fuel filter kept emptying an it was runnin like a heap of spanners

but i did think i'd get loads of **** from you lot for it

lesson learned for next time
