Hello people

I'm new to the land rover scene, Two weeks ago I got my first.. its a 2001 discovery 2 td5
so far so good and i'm loving it
Got it for a steal and its mint for its age, Already had new brakes and tyres all round , new clutch and dual mass, injector loom etc etc

Also had a few mods ie k&n panel filter, de cat, boost box, egr delete, middle box removed, uprated intercooler, silicone boost pipes, dynachip stage 2 map, stack boost gauge

Sounds good and I've always wanted a 5 pot engine :)

I just need to hunt for the rear seats as this is a 5 seater I could really do with the 2 extra seats, I was hunting online for some and found this forum :)

Looks good for its age - someone has obviously put some time and effort into looking after the bodywork - hopefully a sign that everything else has received similar care.

Fingers crossed :)

wouldn't mind some bull bars and spots on it next but then I'll probably get carried away and end going for the full off road look

From previous discos the lesson I learnt was... think very carefully before buying anything - will I actually use it! (and will I actually get round to fitting it?!)

The addons that i've either bought or planned for the current disco are all practical rather than cosmetic. I run a Scout Group, run an outdoor based business, and my wife organises running events. The disco needs to be able to shift trailers and kit around potentially muddy sites, transport large amounts of kit around day to day for work, etc - and it can do all that in its "factory" form. The addons have been in the form of lights - work lights on the back, amber strobes for at event sites, and spotlights on the front. I can't afford to risk damaging the car so dont need to go down the route of snorkel etc, but i'll probably fit light guards, and some underbody protection as and when the bank balance allows!
