neutral wire

I dont have a neutral light that is coming on. I'm i right in saying the neutral wire comes from the top of the gearbox ?
I have found a blue and black wire hanging from it, i have taken the drivers seat up and found the other end. Does anyone know if i can use a standard red or blue electrical connector to put it back together.

Neether did I. The blue black un is likely to be the difflock switch wire.

Just looked like it was coming from the right place to be a neutral wire ( but what do i know ........ nothing ) . Would there be a light for the difflock ?

Yup its the sideways H one on the main light bit.

The blue black wire is live an the other wire from terminal on the switch goes to earth. Have a search on one of Busterbus' freds he posted a picture of his last week.

Yippeeeee. That's the one, looks like it's not just me with the problem.
