Hi,

New to LandyZone so 'Hi' to all and I hope I'm not overlooking any forum rules...

After lusting after a Defender for many years I finally managed to purchase 1994 Defender 110 last year. I have been doing a number of repairs/improvements over the past 12 months, with the view to keeping it looking as original as possible.

I want to replace the middle 2nd row seat with a low back version. I am hoping this can be done by swapping out the back only rather than the whole seat.

My problem is that in order to go searching for a replacement I need to know what the trim is and I cannot find any resource that will help identify it...I am therefore turning to your expert knowledge. :)

Anyone know what trim this is?

Cheers in advance,

Hi and Welcome.

May be wrong, but would you be better calling up a friendly LR dealership with the VIN number and asking them if they can identify what was in the original vehicle build.

Cheers

Neilly,

Great plan and have now done so....not sure what I've learnt though :)

The very friendly and helpful lady at the other end has informed me that their system lists the trim as 'grey cloth'....where to from here... :)

LOL, well it was worth a try, I would have thought they would have been more specific.

Another thought is contact exmoor trim, they make replacements seats covers so should be able to identify what it is.

Cheers

Got it....! Thanks to your initial suggestion I ended up googling 'defender grey cloth' which resulted in some good images...from which I managed to identify the trim as Moorland Grey.

Thanks for all your help...now to try and track down an original, but good condition, low back 2nd row middle seat in Moorland grey...not asking for much then :)

Cheers,

Will
