Need help from someone who has a 3.5 EFI (flapper)

Ive been trying to set up my V8 and also as ive just put in in my landy but ive messed it up and now i have no idea were to atsrt at again. the plugs are wet and well sutted up. it wont fire up either. ive lost the postion were the Co2 screw was at.

any chance some one could measure there Co2 screw from the to of the screw to the top of the casing just so i have i rough guideto were i need to be other wise i cant get it running again.

While I don't have one, have you tried "Rave"

Who is Rave?? lol

If you search the forums for "Rave" you can download an electronic service manual. it has setup procedures, and lots more.
Would be good starting point.

Ive looked at that download its just a parts guide not a Manual

3 cd's worth and definitely workshop manuals- have you looked at range rover classic efi

ive looked through the 3 DC's and it does not go as far back as the Flapper modles just the hot wire system

join the forum and in that thread there is a flapper diagnostic manuals hopefully it will give you a base setting

ive got that manual and it only realy shows you the electrical side to it and mantinace. it does not say anything about intial set up

I had a look at mine today, and the mixture screw sits about 19mm down from the top.

I used a long setscrew and a nut to give me depth.

Just picked up your post, glad that someone has finally given you the basic info. that you were asking for. Having got your lump running you will need to have it checked with a co2 meter as, assuming the AFM is working correctly, quite small adjustments (ie. a quarter turn) to the setting may not make any detectable difference to the idle but will effect the readings & thus the MOT test.
