My Balls are different

Hello guys!

When farting about under Bessie recently I noticed my balls were different. One on the driver's side is not shiny at all! It's sad and rusty looking, so I squirted grease onto it. White stuff I bought from Halfords. The one on the other side is nice and shiny.

Before I did this, the car seemed "stiffer" to steer. It seems a bit better now.

So...can you tell me...have I just fooked the dam thing up? What do I need to buy, or repair, or watch for, or should I just start crying?
