Can anyone tell me where you can get an amp meter from thats for a series?? The one in it is goosed and would like to be sure the dyno is charging the battery.

Can any of you shed any light, if you have a look at the pitures I have post are the Windows in the rear standard? I am unsure if they are and been cut out at some point or other!!!

they look standard there are at least 3 different types shallow like yours, deeper that come nearer the waist line and slide opening ones again usually deep type

Well i could'nt find an amp meter from craddocks or the other site i was given!!! so any other ideas would be welcome or some kind person may have a spare on they wish to part with:)

Well i finally picked her up today, the bloke has been away on holiday until last night. So we went over first thing this morning and loaded her up onto the trailer and made our way back home, got back in one piece and unloaded it. Had a look round it and found a fair few things that need sorting out but all in all its not to bad.
He also gave me a new copy of the green bible, a haynes manual and a load of bits that he bought but never fitted along with a load of history for it.
Also got a deal on a mig welder as i will need one so full steam ahead now.
If any mods read this post can you please change the title to " my series 2A project" if possible??

congrats on your (new) baby youll have hours of fun

hope to see some pics soon!

Cheers, i will take some pictures tomorrow before i start and then when ever i do anything to her.
It will be good to get stuck in, off sick from work pending an op so loads of time to play:)

Well today I took out the floor pans and seat box along with the tunnel to see what I am up against. And the drivers side door pillar and bottom bracket are goosed, passenger pillar is the same, but that bottom bracket is ok. It needs some work in the drivers foot well, the other side has been done and just needs cleaning up. Seat box repairing and the door tops and bottoms replacing. But how do the door skins come off anyone???/

Today I replaced the drivers side door pillar and bulk head corner, the foot well I did the other day, so one side of the bulk head is complete the other side is not as bad.
Looking at the doors I am not sure if they can be repaired or not?? The main frame is rotten on both the curved sections along with the bottoms, I know you can buy new section but not the curved part? And I still don't know how to remove the door skins!!!

After loads of welding and still more to do (rain stopped play) I have been looking at some other bits. Eg the wiper motors and instrument panel, and I have come up with the same old story dogey wiring. After consluting the green bible I have found that there should be no wiper switch so how would you turn them off?? I have one on a homemade panel with a heater switch and another switch marked run?? I have no idea what that is for. Plus the bloke I bought it off added another ignition switch because the main one stopped working but still works the lights!!! As far as I know its a positive earth which means nothing to me apart from the normal negative on the battery as a red lead bolted to the body and not black.

Well i have now got my 2A stripped down to the chassis, just got the engine and gear box and axles in.
Next job is to weld a couple of plates on the chassis and a new driver side dumb iron on thats it. I have been reading alot about por 15, and have decided thats what i am going to use. I looked on the frost web site and found this kit POR-15 Chassis Painting Kit | Frost Auto Restoration Techniques
Is this everything that i will need to repaint it after i have welded and cleaned it up?
