Hi peeps...

well as title... we have now lavished £4000.00 on our softdash... and still more to do with it..

It would apear we saved it from the scrap yard things have been so bad.. Im looking at having it resprayed in the summer.. but for now.. i'm struggling to find out how to fit a cruise control system to it.. I have located some of the electrical connectors on the vehicle.. so am now looking for the parts.. I have got the vacuum module and throttle cable with mount, i believe i need a vacuum pump, ecu, and switches to mount on the steering wheel...

the next big job is to replace the boot floor, i have decided to do this with aluminium sheet.. and channel, in the hope i wont have to do it again...
once this is done i will be getting the chassis and the body repainted and wax oiled.
Also the roof lining is doing the usual, starting to sag at the rear off side, but it is only slight..

Just how far do you go with restoring these cars... It is my daily drive, so it is awkward doing some jobs... but things need to be done..

the list of complete work so far....
front axles partialy rebuilt,.. replaced engine, full service including auto box filter etc, new brakes all round, new radius arm bushes, new upper tailgate, new springs on all locks, new central locking actuators, new complete nearside mirror, new headlamps, new water pump, new P gasket fitted, new thermostat and housing, 5 new tyres, all wheel bearings replaced, new radiator, New battery...

There are other parts replaced but cant remember what as there have been so many...

see..one week to get this done...and think yourself lucky??
