Thinking of buying another project. At the moment it is rolling chassis, but only the rear axle is fitted, front is nearly finished as in pic just needs front hub assembly's done, At the moment there is no drive flanges for the last bit, it did have free wheeling hubs on but they are knackered.
My question is if I just put both Hub assembly's on fitted with the bearings lock nuts and washers, then brake drums and wheels , should / will it be OK to roll on and off a recovery truck without any end bits fitted just to get it away ?

sound good to me but you will need to fit steering or lock the hubs in the straight ahead position or it will act like a supermarket trolley

Thanks, no steering at the moment , will need to move the front wheels around by hand to steer it out the building then same again when It gets to my yard.
