I am happy to say that my Landy failed its Mot Only on the rear end exhaust which has a hole rusted in it, and the one rear light cluster works when lights are on but as soon as u press brakes it does'nt work!!!!! ant suggestions on the light cluster, have oredered new exhaust so thats sorted......

Any advice will be help full

Some kind of earlth fault trace all he earths back to the body clean them up and all the other connections then give a good spray of wd to drive out moisture should
 
once your lights working (just an earth fault) squirt the conections with aerosol waxoyl (the clear one)..dont squirt the bulbs,just the connections..

wonderful stuff for keeping the moisture out,(crap for keeping rot of chassis,oil/grease much better) much better than wd40 etc..i use it on our electrics on road sweepers,and imagine the crap they take!
 
The light thing seems fairly common. Had a very similar fault on my TD5. Took the lenses out, fiddled with all the connections, blew a fuse, replaced it and now they work! Probably is an earth connection, but I'd definitely just check/clean every connection you can get your hands on.
