Today I set about replacing the Discs on the Disco, simple enough task.

Set off to LRS Stoke , they were closed for Kens Cremation so called Richard
at Beamends - answer phone...h'mm prehaphs at the Cremation so I don't leave
a message and venture on. Local parts factor and shell out lots of dosh for
the required bits... trek home. Almost home and realise I've not got the
Gaskets for the ends of the half shaft wotsits. Turn about and go to the
Landrover main dealers to reduce the chance of failure. Get the gaskets and
go home.

Start front drivers wheel... stripped down, caliper off ok, disc off after
20 minutes of thrashing around the drive with all sorts of metalic objects
much to the ammusment of the neighbours. Then I get that sinking feeling...
the one where you suddenly realise your new vented discs aren't quite as
solid as the old one in your hand which isn't vented...grrrrr! So I need to
go and exchange them.

Anyway Mrs D's off at work in the Laguna, Percy (IIa) is still in the
Recovery position so I take a peek at Morph (101 Ambi) over the gates.....
Damn it if he wasn't smirking... I swear it! Morph to the rescue.... and I'm
certain he was chuckling too along the A500.

Tomorrow I intend to have a much more relaxed day safe in the knowledge that
I have 3 more discs to thrash around the drive.

I amused my neighbours today too - swapped the leaky header tank for a new
one, took the anti-freeze container out of the garage and began topping up
the header.

Imagine my glee to discover that I'd used the aforementioned anti-freeze
container to house dirty engine oil drained last month.

T'neighbours thought it amusing too.

get the normal horn to work....

Job for tommorrow is to connect the MP3 player up!
