Manual Steering Box... removal/fitting & overhaul

eve all,

i just got a non leaking box off a chap for £5 so im going to remove mine and fit that one. it seems ok, but then what do i know! ive got instructions on how to overhaul one, but if i need parts i dont think they will be easy to come by, if i can get them at all. does anyone have experience in taking these things apart? or should i leave it alone and just go and fit it to see what its like?

secondly, is it as easy to fit as removing the rod off the drop arm and the bit at the top, dropping in the new box and away i go?

i dont want to end up with one of them crazy circus vehicles!
