Hi Everyone!
I have just removed my manual steering box (Gemma) from my old Ninety because its been leaking oil like a sieve!
I would like to send it away to be refurbished like new. I just wondered if anyone can recommend a place that does this.
I have found this company on via ebay, but would like a recommendation. Has anyone used this company?
I have not really got the time or the tools / skills to do it myself.
Many thanks, Paul

Kelly Brae steering are the guys you want. Ebay is a bad choice as many boxes have just had the downshift seal changed and a lick of paint, then sold as a refurb
Sorry about the delay in reply. I did ring those guys and they said they could not do a manual box because they can’t source the parts!

Final update on this. I got my steering box back from steering specialists Ltd as detailed above.
Really please! All seals, bearings replaced and the outside looks like new too.
I got it back on no problem and been using it for a few weeks, it feels great, no leaks :)
Just so you know it cost £225 which included collection and return postage.
I would recommend.

Input shaft's well pitted.
Wonder what they did to the part of it that the seal runs on & how long it will last.

Speedisleeve would be my preferred option.
Used several on various parts of the Range Rover incl steering box output shaft.
Bonus is that if they wear you can remove & fit another one & you use the standard seal.
