Hi there,

so, I do have my problems with the new wiring harness. Especially with everything ignition and strater related, funny enough including the horns and beam lights as they share some of the circuits.

Anyway, I found an old Lucas starter lying around. I did order a new one anyways, but to test things I thought about installing that one.

Just how exactly do I wire this beats?

Small contact top right is marked ignition, no idea where the others are supposed to go...

Help, please? 😁

Small contact as said is ignition, then a heavy duty live from the battery to the bolt with no wire currently attached, earth is from the motor frame.

Do, ignition goes to the small one (white red if I remember correctly) everything brown or brown white, along with the thick main wire from the positive battery pole, to the screw without wires. The thick red wire is then the earth to the engine?

And the wire to the coil (white pink) goes to the top left contact?

1- Pos Starter Trigger from ignition switch.
2- Main Pos Power from battery.
Negative Power it gets through the body of the starter motor from the engine.

Edit - Oh and that red cable that goes from the solenoid over and not connected to anything obviously needs to be connected to the starter motor itself. Im guessing on that stud that is kinda out of frame.

I did try it, well I looked. And yes, I mixed up the wiring.

Couldn't install the spare starter, the bolts are round head for hex keys. The lower one is easy, the upper one almost impossible to get to. So I need a hex key that goes on a wrench.

So I'll just wait for the new starter, doing that twice is nothing I look forward to.
