Hi all - me again,
When I purchased my Landy, the previous owner had been running it with a Snorkel that was fitted directly to the inlet - with no filter whatsoever. Worrying, but maybe foolishly this didn't stop me from purchasing her.
As a temporary fix I immediately made a bit of sponge filter to fit to the top of the snorkel, and turned the snorkel so it was facing backwards.
I was hoping I would be able to adapt the standard box as an 'intermediary' air filter, but it appears impossible. I was hoping to rotate the box 180 degrees, but the angle of the bottom of the box does not allow this.
Am I right in thinking I need a specific airbox to cater for the snorkel? If so, does anyone know where I can find one without buying the whole lot?
If anyone has any alternative solutions, please shout!
Many thanks, Jack.
