Howdy, I am trying to find somewhere to break in my jeep gladiator. I have lived in the grafham area for about three years now and have heard of some green lanes in the area. However I have no idea how to find them or if I need a permit of some kind. Any information would be a great help.

Welcome to the best site, for the best 4x4 brand in the world, Land Rover.
Someone may be able to help direct you and your j**p to green lanes. Not me, but someone. I believe there is a directory might be called Glass?
I am curious though why come to a Land Rover site, rather than ask on a j**p one? Be prepared for an amount of ( well deserved) stick

We certainly are a fun bunch tenor (1).gif
I think there are a couple of j**p owners on the site but not many. Whilst there will be those who can help with green laning, I really would suggest joining a j**p website too. Mainly because it is handy to have owners who have brand/model knowledge to learn from.
Did you find Glass? It's the only site I vaguely recall people mentioning.

Glad to be of help. There are probably plenty of posts on green laning here. So Glass, LZ, combined with a j**p specific you will probablyy find all you need :)

Hi and welcome!

Green lanes are open to use, being unsurfaced roads. Make sure that you’re on a route that can legally be driven though otherwise you risk prosecution and having your vehicle seized, not to mention further damaging greenlaning as a past time as there is a large group who are against vehicles using rights of way.

In theory, you could get an up to date copy of an OS map but it won’t show seasonal TRO’s and the like. The best bet is to join either the Green Lane Association (GLASS) Or All Terrain UK, both of which support legal, use of green lanes and are not vehicle make specific clubs.

There are j**p clubs, which will likely do green laning, otherwise try a local all makes 4x4 club.
