i have never owned a landy before, however the bloke who trained me up in my job as a tree worker did, somedays we limped home in them, but we made it home....example Defender V8 with a cherry picker on on the back, towing 3 tonnes of logs, ecelerator cable snapped, bodged it up, and ended up driving using the clutch maxing 5mph....took ages but we made it.
i digress. I'm now working in scandinavia and i'm planning on getting a vehicle over from england in the spring coz i'll be starting up my own buisness..... This is what i have been looking at buying Welcome to MOD Sales Online - Military Vehicles for Sale - Ex MOD Land Rovers for Sale - #28683 - Land Rover 90 Hard Top RHD & LHD#
would like any info any help, advice, things to look out for etc, coz i'll be honest i dont have much of a clue, all i know is they can be a little bit thirsty, noisy and to be honest the idea of having to drive one to the middle of sweden where i am now sounds at best, uncomfortable, however, i know they are top work horses, and the thought of crashing throught forests and mountains, not to mention the snow sounds quite appealing....

i'll pick one up from the surplus store :)
but a little more of a hint at the sorts of things i need to be fixing and such would be helpful. are they as hunk of continualy falling apart junk that every one says?
