One of our kids got locked in the car recently and could not get out. Very scarey. Is there a way someone can get out of the car if the driver clicks the lock shut?

Wind the window down/ slide it open? Could probably squeeze out of that.

Not if it's fitted with a deadlock. Some cars can have their deadlock activated by clicking the button twice. Once the deadlock is on no handles will open the doors.

Locking them in the car, a bit drastic i think.
