Although there are a number of threads relating to this topic, I thought I would appraise you of my recent experience, with a rear passenger door that wouldn't unlock/open. Took it to a local 4x4 garage and left it with them for an 'hour or so'. They ended up unbolting the door off its hinges, and hacksawing through the striker bar, of which they could not get a replacement until the following day, plus a new lock. It cost me £197, and a good walk up to the school and back at hometime. Moral is, get the locks fixed as soon as they become sticky!!!
