Hi. Many of us have seen the various headlamp conversions kits.Alot of copys coming in from the far east at budget prices can be seen on ebay etc.Has anyone tried them? Are they anygood? I ask as considering buying a pair, £150ish,E marked.Look very pretty.Putting aside the get what you pay for argument for a second, would like some feedback from owners of them before taking a chance.
Thankyou for any feedback.

No matter what the vehicle, the only safe and satisfactory method of converting headlights is to change the entire, complete headlight unit, lens, reflector, light source, the lot.
The lens and reflector are designed together to provide a predictable beam pattern using a particular light source operating at the correct focal position in the reflector.
Neither LEDs or High Intensity Discharge light sources will operate in the correct position, consequently the beam pattern will be wrong and you'll risk causing discomfort even dangerous dazzle to other road users.
There's also the problem of beam "penetration" and colour temperature, all of which can affect the performance of a vehicle headlight system.
If the only reason you have to change your headlights is that new ones "look pretty" then I would suggest that you save your Christmas money. If you wish to upgrade for improved performance then I would also suggest that you hang on to your money and investigate a set of new bulbs; they can discolour with age. I would recommend that you look at Osram "Nightbreakers" or Phillips "X-Treme +130%" in whatever base format fits you vehicle.
