Hi all, been a while.

(4.0 petrol, Thor)

Recently had to redo my heater matrix o rings. Went without a hitch (my second time) however I now seem to have an issue with the temp gauge. It never really seems to get out of the blue whereas before and since I've had the car, it's always sat just before 12.

If I run for a while (20 minute drive) it stays in the blue (almost to the right of it) and the switch off.. And back on again, the needle will be between the blue and 12. Start her up and run for 5 mins and it drops back down.

What's the likely cause of this? As I say, only work done was the orings and refilling the system, following the procedure in rav (bleed hose cleared and off the rad, wait til it flows, reattach, etc)

Thanks in advance :)

Is the heater getting hot or just warm? you may have disturbed some crap that is stopping the thermostat from closing. Worth checking/ replacing. Welcome back.

Hey Tom :)

Yeah, just warm, not really ever getting hot.

Bottom hose off, stick garden hosepipe in and blast away.. Or something more sensible?
