Hi All
I've been a disco tdi owner for 7 years , used it to tow my food trailer through muddy festival fields
It was so reliable and I was so stupid that I neglected it and during June last year
the head went . This was right in the middle if our summer caused me no end of grief , got a new head from paddocks ,had it fitted then 60 miles down the road it started to belch black smoke and over heated big time , arghhhhhh
Ended up borrowing my very good friends td5 to finish our season .
My spanner handy friend basically said the old Landy was not worth fixing as stuff had started going wrong lower in the engine and said I should retire it from festival duties
Since then I've been landrover less and bloody miserable ,had a brief encounter with a POS ford focus which only deepened my pain .
Started lookin for a new towing vehicle two weeks ago, Spotted a tdi on ebeast that looked good 88k miles ,all work done , egr blanking kit ,all belts done,decat, all sills and arches done etc etc . Had a test drive and was really happy and now....am back in the Landy club!
The new one drives great and is super clean inside , all electrics actually work and both sunroofs don't leak at all ( that's a first right?), I would say its a little more agricultural sounding , more 200 than 300 tdi my friend said , really smooth on the motor way though and has great power once warm .
This time I really wanna look after me Landy and actually learn enough to service it myself . ive had a look around this site and LZ looks a great place to start my education.

P.s hope none of you ever have to see your LR on an AA truck
