Regrettably I am advertising my Landrover defender 110 hardtop for sale.
I am selling due to a new arrival to the family which is due in 5 weeks and not having a suitable vehicle for a child and also I have a new job with a commute that is not suitable and cost effective to be using my defender for.
It is not a preferred situation as I love my landy and the condition of her reflects the love I have for it.
She is immaculate condition and has been maintained irrespective of cost. The chassis and bulkhead are immaculate and the engine is spot on with also an alisport intercooler and tuned. She has covered a gentle 120k and been fully serviced throughout.
Her life started with a local authority and then was sold to a lovely guy who used it to help renovate his house and also for the odd bit of greenlaning. The vehicle only covered 12k in 9 years with its previous owner and was garaged when not being used. Over these 9 years he had alarm and immobiliser installed, safari snorkel and full breather kits, Honda CRX seats, CD changer, mantec wheel carrier, spot lights and so on. he serviced it himself every 12 months and maintained her no matter what.
I purchased her approx 3 years ago now and have spent in excess of £6k maintaining and upgrading her adding chequer plate protection, winch, HD suspension, disco transfer box, engine component overhall (water pump, alternater, brake and clutch master cylinders, slave cylinders, vacuum pump, cam belt, aux belts, etc), polybushed rear end, fully waxoiled 6 monthly, tree sliders, custom rear storage, etc. She has under body protection and BF Muds all around including spare on black modulars. I have probably missed loads, call for more details.
The only issues I have to report on are minor. The windscreen washer cracked off in frost, I am using additional washers retrofitted from a rangerover that are on bonnet, all working and fine (better than standard). The rear cross member had 2 small spots of rust which have been tidyed up and plated and welded. Caught early! rear window demister doesnt work and thats about it, she really is an amazing vehicle and you'd struggle to find one in better working order and condition. Oh and CB arial cable needs a new plug on end as was ripped off. Nothing major here at all.
She will comfortably get you from A to B whether it be on motorways or across africa! she will come with lots of off road gear including winching equipment, rhino roof bars and CB radio.
Tyres have loads of tread left and she had MOT and full major service in Nov 11, (£500 bill).
I have had her serviced professionally yearly without fail and also done oil changes 6 monthly between the services myself.
She pulls well and recently got me through an advanced off road driving course without fail or any knocks, creaks or anything!
