Mine was booked in at the main dealer for the recall on 6th October but they cancelled it because they didn't get the parts in. Called them yesterday to find out if they got them yet. Still waiting for a call back.

Not the best image, but it looks to me as if LR have changed the way the ends are welded. All the older ones I've worked on have a double ring of weld, this looks flatter.
The older ones are not welded as in mig/stick, they are friction welded, some good vids on youtube.

Apparently there's a whole issue with land rover parts due to them moving warehouse or something
