Lamp Guards?

Evening All,

Pretty sure I know the answer to this but on the 2003-2006 face lift are lamp guards always screwed into the wing meaning there will be some lovely holes there?

If so what **** at Land Rover thought this was a good idea?

Found a Freelander Sport to the spec, mileage and color I like but it has lamp guards fitted. If they are all screw fit then the only way round this is new wings! :doh: which means the search will have to continue!

P.s anyone know of a Grey, 5 door, Freelander Sport, TD4 Manual with less than 60k on the clock for sale? NO LAMP GUARDS!

Not sure I like the look on them and they are abit pointless, headlamps are plastic so not likely to shatter from stone impact.

they do! we sell loads of plastic headlamps at work from where a large stone has hit them or sometimes bigger stuff

I'rd rather the new headlamp if it happens! LOL

I take it they are all screwed into the wing then?

really they are about £175+ vat each!

Yep really. those lamp guards arn't going to stop jack anyway. Got gapping big gaps in them!

Thinking I might have to if I can't live with them but finding one to the spec I want may take forever.
