lack of power

i have a 2001 range rover the other day it started having lack of power step on the gas and it revs up but does not go faster if you step on it to go in to passing gear it wont do it, it spuddred and popped alittle bit, then if you go easy on the gas peddle it will go

You will need to be more specific than that, other things will be going on as well, example of things members will be wanting to hear are: engine revs up, or engine starts to die etc. Give all of the symptons that are happening.
