Hello i am new to this site i am just looking for some help with my discovery 300tdi auto.
I bought it about a week ago then a few days later a knocking noise came on it sounded as tho there was something loose or fell off and rattling around i have had the timing cover off to check the woodrough key was still there as some one said that could of came loose but wasnt that then all of a suddenly i turned off the engine yesterday then tried to start it back up and the starter was just spining so took it off and i tried to move the flywheel and it moves freely does anyonw no what that means people say it could be the flexiplate thats what could of caused the knocking and it just give way thats why the flywheel is not turning over the engine i have tried a socket on the crank pulley and that was fine.
Any info would be great
