Just got myself a 1993 Vogue SE.

When driving the auto works up through the gears OK changing up at about 2100rpm.

The problem I have is that the kickdown does not function no matter how hard I stand on the loud pedal.

Can change down gears using the selector (godd fun getting the engine up to 4000rpm). And sounds awesome :)

I only have the Haynes manual which is pretty useless, Waiting for a CD to turn up with all the manuals on which may help me troubleshoot a bit more.

Does anybody have any suggestions about how to solve this??

Problem seems to be solved.
Looked at the throttle levers where pedal & cruise control connect and found out the kickdown cable was disconnected at the throttle. Pulled on it and felt the gearbox click. Then had to feed the cable back in for it to release?
Spayed on some bike cable grease, adjusted to about 2mm gap, then went out to play :)
Scared me a bit as it was a bit of a sticky throttle, so had to stab the pedal a few times for it to loosen up (was stuck in kickdown oo crickey, good job the brakes work)
Seems to be working fine now, waiting for the next bit of work I need to do. lol
