P38A Key problem

sorry I know this has been covered on here before but I can't find my problem you see the key will start the car but not unlock the doors except manually I have tried the hold in the lock button turn to lock back to centre hold the unlock button turn to right a hell of a lot of times but still it unlocks manually but not remotely this is key 2 I think from what p/o told me or am I being stupid and only one of the keys does it all but both start it any ideas anyone please

If all the doors unlock with the key, then it's a key-sync problem. Press & hold the lock button & turn to lock position for three seconds, back to 12 oclock position, the press & hold the unlock button & turn the key to unlock, then back to the locked position. Sometimes it takes both directions to re-sync the key.

You can perform this with the drivers door open, & with your left hand press the internal door lock level fully down when turning key to lock position, & pull it fully up if turning to open position. This trick usually works.
