Jaguar Engined Land Rover

i was wondering if anyone has ever put a jaguar engine into a land rover ?

Have you been looking at those army j60 4.2's

i am now i was thinking a nice v8 or v6 instead of my td5 for a bit more excitement and joy in my life as my td5 engine has just given up on life

from what i uderstand they are short reving engines, so will need adapting for civilian applications, cant say i know more about them really other than they dont have much top speed but loads of grunt at 220bhp.

so old jag owners have adapted them and added supercharger. they are petrol mind.

There was a Series in LRO with a Jag engine not so long back...
