:)Honestly at the moment it seems to be everything I touch on this car just fails.

it’s in for the MOT tomorrow so I thought I’d do a few checks and knew certain jobs had to be done so I set about securing the battery with a new bracket I’ve made ect. I popped the door card back on so it’s tidy. Radio back in as I’m not spending £295 on a refurb :) and as I was messing with the centre console I’ve caught the steering wheel adjustment stalk. Now the bloody thing won’t lock back in and the steering wheels moving up and down like there’s no tomorrow. I just can’t seem to get it to lock in place ..? I’ve taken the plastics off around it and given it a good clean. The stall seems to operate the cable as it should ect. I’m hoping someone’s been here before .?

as always

Thank you :)

Does the stalk action have the same resistance?
Check the other end as I would guess you have pulled it and it’s now stuck at the mech (which I have never seen).

It’s quiet easy to pull out but until Just now I’ve never touched it so can’t say what it was like before. It pulls out with very little resistance and when I push it over the cables move to rod as they should.

Mine played up and a bit of WD40 and a good fiddle around and all was good, they are one of those things that if they are never used seam to seize up, but i had to move it to take some trims off:(

Decided to have a couple of days off it as it was just p****g me off lol

I lubricated the levers which did nothing I’m afraid so got a small pry lever in there and got them home manually. It’s locked again now but I think I’ll leave it at that
