They are selling in the South East, apart from the ones that are seriously over- priced. The range of prices is wide and has definitely notched up since the end of production, but some of the prices down here are bonkers, and even basket cases get described as investment opportunities. A quick look at Preloved and Gumtree, and watching some specimens on eBay will give you an idea of average time to sale, bearing in mind asking price and selling price are different. Series 3 prices are also catching up with good examples down here now over £10k. I suspect some potential buyers might possibly be biding their time until the dead cat bounce on prices post end of production corrects itself a bit, but it won't go back to where it was

I would hazard a guess that its not selling because its seen as a toy. You couldn't really use that as a daily or for much else bar off roading/laning. Looks pretty nice tho

i did think that but I didn't want to strip it all an do it up to sell at a massive loss. It owes me probably 4K in parts. I can't post on here either as my posts are low. I wouldn't sell if I could afford 2 motors.

Thats probably worth more in parts than you are asking for it complete.
1k for engine with rad cooler etc
200 for gearbox
500 for rear axle and locker minimum
bulkhead will be worth decent money even if not perfect.
wheel tyres etc etc
Might be worth just advertising the big bits on ebay and see if you get any bites, if you do rip it to bits, always worth offering courier service for the big bits as that tends to frighten people.
Keep the V5 and vin plate and stamped bit of chassis for the future so you can legit rebuild a new one when you have some money to do so.

Tbh I have considered this. But with work and other things, I just can't find the time. I am honestly gettin to the point thinking sell all the offroad bits like cage wheels rear axle winches ect and then making it more of a daily but. Hard to decide what to do.

I'd agree that it's because it's more of an off-roader that it's not selling. People are buying them now mainly for the image. But as most aren't even going to wander off Tarmac they don't want something that will actually be good off-road. They want snorkels, but shiny paint. Sump guards and side steps/rock sliders without a scratch on them.

Yours is honest with the dents and faded paint. As a large proportion of the market wants it as a road car they won't look twice.

Just hold out at that price someone will wake up one day and say i want a true purpose built off-roader. You'll know you'll get money for it whatever happens and if you can't sell it now when we get to the end of August/start of September people will start scaremongering about snow and you'll get rid of it then.

I'm quite glad you've reassured me about the price cause obviously it isn't a beaut but it's a proper motor, Iv not had it stuck once and that was in 2 foot of **** lol
