A Quick Hi,

Been lurking the site for a few years and thanks for all the info and a few laughs as well. I have a question I couldn't find an answer to so it's only polite to introduce myself first.
Had my 2003 TD5 90 for about 4 years now bought as a toy as the third car in the family when I lived near Newbury. The lowest mileage car I have ever owned when I got it at around 45K miles. Now it's our only vehicle and has 109K on it including several trips to the alps and back and been to Scotland and back in it.
Pretty much trouble free except a few odds and ends - wheel bearing, clutch master cylinder seals is I think about it really. And the passenger door refuses to close from the inside when it's cold which is a bit of a pain when you live for 2 months a year in the freezing mountains!

I now realise I should have swapped the rear fog light and reversing light when I moved to France (oops my French is coming on only slowly). I gather it's just a case of swapping the wires somewhere in the wiring loom and then swapping the lenses around. I can't make head nor tail of the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual though so which wires do I swap and how do I identify them?

Hope you can help.

Thanks

Mick

:welcome2:

I should really do mine too

I thought about taking the wire of the back of the reverse light and taking it across to the fog lamp, then extend the fog light wire to reach the reverse light, then swap lenses

each light has one wire you need to move, the earths can stay where they are

Done mine, there are two covers inside the rear behind which the wiring is all there. According to the wiring diagram (1999 - 2001my on a 90 )green/ brown is reversing light red/yellow is fog light. There is a spare connection each side. Unplug the lamp swop it, change the lenses over put the covers back job done. it took me longer to undo the rusted screws on the internal covers.
Hope this helps.
