Intercooler sits too high 200tdi

Collected the radiator and intercooler frame from the powder coaters today
and started to fit my new radiator and intercooler
the radiator fits no problem but the intercooler sits a good 1/2 inch to high so the top frame will not bolt down arghhhhh

Would any of you have an intercooler knocking around for a 200tdi they can give me a measurement off please

I think the person who sold me the new 200tdi intercooler sold me the wrong one

Approx 15 inches on a defender 11l stock fit intercooler

Its about -15 oot side an all

What he says, a 200 or 300 would fit the frame and sit in place but the outlets would be wrong, check its locating on the pins on the bottom side.

It fits in the mounting holes fine
although i have fitted rubber mounts on the bottom rail the same as the top

Take a look at them on ebay, the pipes are connected in different positions on the two different models

The pipes are in the correct place
It is the unit that is sitting to high in the assembly
this is stopping me from fastening the x2 bolts on the top of the radiator-intercooler frame

Ignore the rubber bungs on the top rail they are in upside down

Certainly looks the same as my intercooler allbe it shinier

That's not an standard inter cooler, that's an aftermarket one, might be made wrong hence it not fitting

but thought against doing a rebuild thread until there is something worth showing

Well looks like it has been made wrong the intercooler is 415mm in height
great !
and to make things worse I purchased it over 6 months ago from flea bay
so no chance of returning it

Theirs plenty to show. It's up to a rolling chassis isn't it

Not everyones rebuilds are fast. Mine has been over a year now

I'd still be tempted to send them a message and explain the situation mate. They should know if it's one of theirs and hopefully do something about it.

Managed to get the fame etc to fit around the intercooler but it just looks wrong so i guess that's something else to replace

but the frame is mint just been powder coated
its the intercooler I was not happy with
