Would someone be so kind as to re-post the procedure for testing the injectors on an L-series diesel please ?

I know I have seen it on here before but can't locate where

TIA

Fink this is wot yer wont..

Re: Low Pressure Fuel Lift.
The pump is prob ok. I would be looking at an injector leaking so will not pressurise system. Two ways to test first use a bit of easy start and see if it runs ok once started, take it for a run around but do not switch off untill you have parked where you want as may not restart. The other way to check injectors is take off cover and remove the return pipes from the injectors clamping the pipe after the last injector, turn on ignition and watch for fuel coming out of top of the injector if it takes less than 8/10 seconds then the injector has failed.

Or this.....

Re: td4 with a starting problem!
Hi Dean, a real bummer these starting tricks, I had a similar problem not long back, have you tried the "leak off" flow at the injectors?? there is a thread on this I did before, remove the injector cover, take one of the injector leak-off pipes from the top of the injector say number one injector and block of the fuel return to the tank, now put a tube to the top of number one injector and the other end into a jar/container, switch the ignition on (not start) and see if there is an oil flow from the injector leak off pipe. If there is then you will have to do the same thing to each injector in turn until you find the leaking one. Basically if the low pressure side on the injector value is not closing the fuel system is unable to create high pressure fuel to the common rail fuel supply, this means no start pressure. try it, it costs nowt to try,
