Injector Pumps

As per my other thread, the sherpa has an IP leak.

The engine is I believe a 2.5 and its out of a sherpa van.

I need to try and source a replacement IP and I wondered from the vague description above whether anyone knew what it was fitted with and whether its used on any other vehicles.

I can get more details but the landy is at the MOT station at the moment.

if its from a sherpa van i thought that was a 2 litre direct injection engine as used in montego and maestro s thought the 2.5 unit was a peugot or ford one that went in the later LDV s i:m not saying this as an expert but did own several sherpa and meastro vans up until they became LDV and all of the later ones were 2 litre DI powered

Your right the LDV had a 2.5 doosil injun un The Pug one was much betterer than the ford un.

yeah i have the 2.5 xd3 peugeot unit in anothe rone, its good. The sherpa one definitely has an IP, maybe its not a sherpa, thats what the PO who fitted it told me it was....

the sherpa 2 litre Di still had an injector pump should be at the front right hand side of the engine as you look in facing the motor i think direct injection just meant the fuel is fired straight into the cylinder again not 100 per cent just my interpation

It is a 2.5 sherpa its the 15J, its the 12J with a few mods, but its the same engine as made by LR. The 12J pump will fit.
