Ignition power for stereo.......

Confirmation needed. Are the red/white wires for dash lights, ciggy lighter illumination etc power off the ignition. Need to splice in my stereo and the obvious is ciggy lighter illumination. Don't have my wiring diagram handy.

Dash lights aren't ignition controlled on my 1994 90, the cig lighter itself is.

Best to test with a noter or test probe,, as prev. owners may have messed with wiring

Not sure i'd take feed off the interior lights - wires are thin. The feed to the lighter itself or the ignition switch might be better
