My x member on my 90 was on it's way out.
I can weld but my welder needs more balls.
Found one on ebay from a bloke in canvey island (not far from me).
Picked it up mid last week, I couldn't belive that I only payed £65 for it. It must have cost that in metal. 6mm thick & well made. Not like the cheap **** from china.
I was so pleased with it that I got the bloke to weld it on yesterday(didn't cost a lot, not telling so don't ask).
I was well pleased with end job & would highly recommend.
If anybody wants his number I'm more than happy to pass it on.
 
Read it 3 times before I realised you bought a Xmember and not a welder, time for bed I think

me too. was thinking thats a heavy welder. 6mm thick:doh:

That's the bit that did it !
I should learn how to type & read at the same time.
 
Just the x member but we cut the legs back & welded 4mm plate on.
The rest of the chassie WILL fall apart before that will.
I took a couple of pic's but not had the time to load them yet.
