Hi guys, i have recently purchased a 1995 4.6 hse with a single point lpg conversion. I have had nothing but problems since buying it. The main fault is that it just will not hold an idle on petrol but will on gas. Now the gas switches over as soon as the engine is revved over 2krpm for more than 5 seconds. I've done a bit of a search on this and i hear that is a bad thing to use gas whilst the engine coolant is cold but i cannot get the rangie to tick over on petrol so have no choice. Also i read that the injectors will become blocked over time if not run on petrol. Do you think this could be my problem? Also the side of the airbox has blown out. I really want to get this sorted as i love my new car but canot be putting up with all these problems this early on. Any help and advice is much appreciated
Thanks ...Lee

have a look at the connections to the air flow meter, i had a very similar fault, and also mine wouldnt rev on petrol either, it may be the same thing! may be?
a rip off local thief quoted me for new injectors, £164 each and £200 labour, from LR there £84 inc vat, he sais if that dont fix it change lamda sensors as well! and all i had was bad connection! the manb was a thief and a liar, and charged me £40 to read fault code and £30 labour, conn man as well!
