Loverly.. Not a good idea to use soldered fittings in an engine. the vibration will crack the joints.

tis a Perkins Prima engine int it. The old Montego Turbo engines were a common swap anorl.

there was a proper conversion kit available and everything.
not sure about the plumbing though, that is unique

Also the Maestro 2.0 diesel turbo used the same powerplant We used to have one. when it went to the scrapper - typical old Maestro... the Perkins lump went into my mate's series 2 He said he decided to lift off the throttle when the speedo indicated 85 !!! FFS EDIT - he did have a Fairey overdrive fitted.
Nice bit of useable grunt in those engines. Used to smoke worse than a corporation bus when it came on boost, especially when the missus had been pootling it around. I got used to having to clear its throat!
