How to change freelander 1 td4 fuel rail pressure sensor?

reaching it ?
to remove / replace .. use a six-sided socket .. on a suitable length wrench extension .. ..
when replacing .. use a torque wrench.
with or without washers ? .. depends on the type of sensor ..
with Bosch there are serial numbers ..

the type that does not use a washer is probably easier to fit imho.
i.e. bosch " RPS40281002909 "

TD4 fuel rail pressure sensor queries
so I recently swapped my old sensor for a new one, along with the harness. No issues until yesterday smelled diesel quite strongly, and then today when checking under the hood and Mrs.wlshyd gunning the throttle, saw diesel spurting from the thread of the new sensor.. Disassembled the engine...
