I've turned it anti clock and it pulls up an inch, then thats it, There must be something more to it ? Anyone know ?

It turns and pulls off
Try turn but back a bit maybe yours has a ridge or something didn’t need much force but just took mine off
No secret handshake or rolled up trousers needed
There is only 1 pin on the tube to the back if that make a diff.
If you got it an inch it’s nearly off.
