As above lads I can see there seems to be a hole for a screw but if I put my finger behind the inner wing I can not feel anything for it to screw it in to thanks

Which model/year?
The 'bumper' attaches to the wing. Bumper: 2 screws beneath and in front of the front wheels - they go into the lower splash guard, 2 ? screws to the upper edge of the wheel arches is this the one you referred to?, 4? bolts just above the lower air vent [ lower grill], 2 or 4 small bolts across the top of the bonnet slam panel. I think that's it.

Front wing: a small hex bolt infant of the sill [it's low down], another higher up behind the upper door hinge, wheel splash guard off, Mudflap off too, 6? small hex bolts along the bonnet/wing line.

"is this the one you referred to" sounds like it,the one on the trailing edge of the wing next to the bumper? I can not feel anything there to screw in to I will have a look tomorrow

There should be one of those push on nuts on the bumper. I think they are called tower nuts…

On mine when I had to change the radiator the bolt had rusted into that nut which tore itself out of the bumper…!!

I reassembled it with a nut and bolt and some repair washers which was a fiddle.

To get a better look at things I took out some of the wing bolts and as the wings are plastic you can carefully lift the top edge…
